 If you have signs of calcium build-up on your pool or spa tile, it may be time to have your tile professionally cleaned. We have a process that is extremely efficient and cost effective when you consider the alternatives. You can either spend thousands of dollars replacing your pool tile or spend days, even weeks, scrubbing your pool tiles with a pumice stone.

Acid washing is a process that is done on a pebble tec® or plaster pool to remove a thin layer of the surface to remove stubborn stains and calcium deposits. The pool is drained and the sides scrubbed. Then a solution of muriatic acid and water is applied to remove the top coat of the pool. 

If you regularly clean your pool and keep it in good shape, chances are you will only need to acid wash your swimming pool every 5-7 years. Because acid washing uses harsh chemicals, it is not recommended to get your pool acid washed more frequently than that, as the harsh chemical used can damage your pool's surface. 

OCSPS provides custom covers for pools and spas. A top quality spa cover should be used whenever the hot tub or spa isn't occupied.  When your spa is left uncovered, heat escapes and its shell is exposed to the fading properties of the sun. So, it's wise to invest in a hot tub cover lifter.

You Should Periodically Drain Your Pool. Eventually, a point is reached where the water cannot be maintained properly no matter how many chemicals are used. Most professionals recommend draining your pool every three to five years in order to keep TDS levels low.

An electrical charge placed into the water of the pool will seek to make the least resistant connections to ground. The electrical current flow from the charge input, to the point of ground connection, creates a detectable current path in the water. We call this detectable current path a “Leak Track” 

An acoustic leak detection device locates leaks by characterizing and differentiating leak sounds from those of normal water flow through the distribution system. The technology measures the actual strength of the pipe wall by placing a microscopic flex on the pipe walls using sound waves.

Concrete pavers are a great option for pool decks because they are durable; chlorine and salt resistant, and can provide the look of natural stone. Pavers also provide good traction and are comfortable underfoot, because the joints take on moisture that helps cool the surface.

Concrete pavers also come in a wide variety of colors, shapes, and sizes, allowing you to create designs that complement your pool’s shape and style. You can also use the pavers to build raised seat walls, pillars, or planter boxes that will coordinate with the pool deck itself.

A tanning shelf is also known as the sun shelf, Baja shelf, or a Cabo shelf. It is a shallow section of the pool where the kids can play and the adults can stand. It's a shelf that allows you to dip your feet into the water. 

 The depth of most tanning ledges is approximately nine inches, meaning that the ledge itself is no more than 12 inches deep. At this water level, many activities that are less possible at deeper depths become enjoyable, and the pool becomes a place where more people are able to relax 

An infinity pool or infinity edge pool is a reflecting or swimming pool where the water flows over one or more edges, producing a visual effect of water with no boundary. Such pools are often designed so that the edge appears to merge with a larger body of water such as the ocean, or with the sky. 

 Thanks to a much lower average wattage, an LED pool light costs only pennies a day to operate, while an incandescent bulb can cost up to $1 a day. Think of each LED pool light as an investment. You'll likely pay a bit more up front, but you'll quickly recoup what you spend thanks to the energy savings. 

Fiber optic pool lights are designed so the bulb is located in a dry box located on top of the pool patio. The light from the bulb travels through fiber optic cable from the box to a special fitting installed in the pool wall where the cable ends. The light is emitted from the end of the cable and illuminates the pool.
